What is PGC VR Gallery
The “PGC VR Gallery” was created for the purpose of promotion and presentation of masterpieces in the offer of Polish Digital Art company. The application uses VR to give the customer the opportunity to get familiar with the offer, and almost palpable acknowledge with the work of art, at a time when it is not available in the gallery. This allows the customer to realize the scale and quality of the art piece without even having to leave home. It also gives the freedom to move around the gallery and admire the works in the context with others, as well as the environment looking almost as the real world.
Mozzaika | VR’ Task
During the creation of the project “PGC VR Gallery” it was important to present works of art as the most faithful copy of the original one. For this purpose, individual models have been created for each of the works. Each scanned, sized to match reality, and also placed in the gallery section, extracting the best aesthetic value. The reality scanning techniques, advanced 3D modelling, and the use of real-time rendering engines, allowed to achieve the photorealistic effect.
The use of VR goggles, gives the ability of unlimited exploration of the gallery space. The user can easily view the painting from each side, lift and take a close look at the sculpture that interests him, as well as learn more about the works themselves from the descriptions assigned to each of them. Besides commercial, project “PGC VR Gallery” performs the function of entertainment and education which at the broader spectrum increases the chances of a successful business transaction.
